The Central Library in collaboration with the MoE project IRINS has developed and launched a customized profiling system of IIT Delhi through which customized data of the institute and its faculty is available in the most presentable form. It facilitates faculty members in collecting, curating, and showcasing scholarly communication activities, providing an opportunity to create a scholarly network. It has been integrated with Academic identities such as ORCiD ID, Scopus ID, Google Scholar ID, CrossRef, etc. One can create/update profile using the VIDWAN site (https://vidwan.inflibnet.ac.in/login) and also can manually add the publications which are not listed.

To maintain the uniformity across the platforms and provide the same range of services available on our Central Library, IIT Delhi website, we have converted our Library's official website into an Android app with some Native android functionality for making our services handier to access.

Most of the electronic resources subscribed by the Central Library can be accessed remotely through Shibboleth single sign-on authentication. Please visit https://idp.iitd.ac.in to gain access. Use your Kerberos username and password. The Off-Campus Access service enables Faculty Members, Students, and Staff to seamlessly access subscribed scholarly electronic resources from outside the Institute campus. For any difficulties in accessing e-resources, please contact the Electronic Resources Division.

The Interactive Research Publications Web Dashboard of IIT Delhi showcases key metrics of its publications from OpenAlex, including publication and citation overview (total citations, H-index, i10-Index), publication types, open access publications, Author, Topic & Keyword Analysis, Most Used Keywords, Collaboration & Funding Analysis, Top 10 Funding Agencies, Publisher & Source Analysis, Global Reach and International Collaboration Map, etc.

The Central Library is an early adapter of emerging and innovative technologies and has been using RFID technology since 2010. It is the best automation system used worldwide and is an effective way of managing collections of the library and providing enhanced services to the users having benefits like: self-check-out of books, self-check-in (book drop), to control theft, to find misplaced reading material, sorting, inventory accuracy, stock verification procedures, security control, video surveillance, people counter, Smart Card issuance, etc. It is an automatic data capture technology that uses tiny microchips and miniature antennas affixed to documents. RFID plays a vital role in redefining the library processes to make everyone's job easier, right from the users to the library staff. IIT Delhi library has one of the most successful running RFID implementations in the country.
