Mr. Satbir Chauhan is a Assistant Librarian in the Central Library, IIT Delhi. He has almost five years of experience as a library professional. Prior to working in libraries, Mr. Chauhan completed his Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering, giving a unique blend of technology to his library science career.
Mr. Satbir has worked with the HDFC Library and Ashoka University before joining IIT Delhi. He has spearheaded several assignments aimed at enhancing library automation, research support, and user experience. His recent contributions include developing the Ashoka Knowledge Repository (DSpace 8) and introducing a Digital Research Support System.
Technical Expertise
His expertise in digital library infrastructure includes seamless integration and migration of Library Management Systems (LMS) across multiple cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Baadal. He is deeply interested in exploring and implementing open-source solutions such as Koha and DSpace to modernise and empower library ecosystems.
