Key Responsibilities
- Only authorized representatives (whose details are already provided here) are permitted to visit various Academic Units and the Central Library. No other individual will be allowed.
- Representatives may visit Academic Units and the Central Library strictly for the purpose of showing the books and related official activities. Unauthorized or misuse of campus visits is strictly prohibited.
- Book recommendations should be obtained only when a faculty member expresses a genuine interest. Vendors must not attempt to influence the faculty members to recommend any book(s).
- All recommendations and supply of books to the Central Library, IIT Delhi must strictly adhere to the prescribed vendorship terms and conditions. Any attempt to mislead or bypass procedures at any stage is not permitted.
- Vendors must supply the latest edition of books, preferably the Indian edition where available. Supplying remaindered books, outdated editions, or foreign editions in place of available Indian editions is not allowed.
- A duly certified and stamped price proof must be submitted along with the supply. Any modification or tampering with the price proof is strictly prohibited.
- Quotations must be submitted, and prices indicated, based on authentic publisher or authorized distributor sources.
- Vendors must ensure that all quoted and recommended books are supplied as per the price mentioned and within the stipulated timeframe.
Non-compliance with any of the above responsibilities may result in suspension or termination of vendorship.
